I had an old 20ga. Rossi that I really liked. That is my only experiance with the hammered CG...
I thought that little shorty was the neatest thing since brass cartridges... Until ... I cocked both hammers as some Malards set up for a landing.. My bro and another friend started dropping them before the ducks got into my range. I reach up with my thumb to lower the hammers back down and pulled the wrong trigger for the hammer I was holding.
They are good for sass/cas but a little scary for the duck blind.... I sold it about a week later.

Best bang for the buck in a well made coach gun with hammers is still the Rossi Overland and they are still readily available on Gunbroker and other online auctions.I just picked up a mint 12 ga Rossi for $350 Far better gun than the Chinese imports, which IMO, are all junk, including TTN

I now enjoy a Stoger, hammerless coach.
I don't know much about the newer CASS coach guns. I still hunt and even shoot CASS with a pair of old Damascus barrel dinosaurs. Both are 12 ga. Yes Sir, decocking them is a bit tricky. That's why I got into the habit of placing my thumb across both hammers at the same time. Fortunately I have big hands with long fingers !
