Hello,
there are 2 Pictures from a Winchester 1895, i bought it on Thursday evening from a friend of mine. it comes original from Finland, they had changed the caliber from 7,62x54r to 9,3x53r because in Finland it was not allowed hunting Moos with a caliber below 8mm, the brasses has to be formed from 7,62x54r. because my eyes are not so good i need a scope on it for hunting does anybody know something about a mount for a 1895???

Nice Gun, thanks for sharing the pics. This is a pretty cool site, I'm really enjoying seeing all the different Lever Actions and Cowboy guns.

Now THAT is an interesting rifle! It is a sporterized Russian musket, probably got dropped there during the Winter War. I wouldn't recommend scoping it. The scope mount would have to be mounted WAY over to one side, as the brass flies pretty much straight up. The charger guides will likely get in the way, too. The musket rear sight will make a long eye relief scope mount difficult, too. Maybe one of those Peabody rear sights would work... Oh, I take that back. Just realized, the charger guides.....
